Have you considered publicising this place through other newsletters or writing magazines, or approached/been approached by any journalists for interviews? Especially if there's an anecdote to be told behind your idea, I think there's promise for articles that would get the word out to more writers and editors! I'm a journalist myself, so feel free to think of this as an offer ;)
This is a great idea! I've thought a little about doing a podcast but hadn't gotten far enough to think of the other options you listed. It's still in the early stages, but as soon as a get a few more things nailed down, I'll look into it!
That depends on the editors that are looking at it. You can definitely submit your pitch, but maybe mention that you're not based in the U.S. If you get a pitch commissioned, let me know, so I have a better answer for the future!

I just tested the submission form, and it's great. I have a few editors whom I will talk with and will spread the word around.
